People worldwide watch UAE’s New Year’s Eve fireworks celebrations, and Ras Al Khaimah has joined with its record-setting world show.

Dubai’s Burj Khalifa new year fireworks made the news across the globe, and the UAE emirate of Ras Al Khaimah didn’t want to be left behind.

Ras Al Khaimah, which already held several world records for its famous fireworks shows, welcomed New Year in a legendary way with a mesmerizing pyro-musical show that broke two Guinness World Records.

The first world record was for the “largest number of operated multi-rotors/drones with a simultaneous fireworks display,” with a record-breaking 671 managed drones in the air.

It also made a new world record for the “largest aerial sentence made by drones.” It took 673 drones to make this record.

The UAE sky was lit up for 12 minutes by a stunning pyrotechnic performance and fireworks show that was larger than life.

The show drew people from around the world with its high-tech drones, nano lights, colors, and shapes choreographed in time to electric music.

It went more than 4.7 km and was 1100 meters high, breaking the previous record of 458 drones.

The show ended with a message that said “Happy New Year 2023” to signify a new start. The drones then changed into the Emirate’s famous “RAKashida” logo to tie it back to the destination.

The logo is based on the concept of “kashida” in Arabic calligraphy, a line that connects letters to make a word. It shows the Emirate’s three most distinctive natural features: the sea, the desert, and the mountains.

Commenting on this year’s world record-breaking fireworks show, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority Raki Phillips said, “Ras Al Khaimah has once again proven that it is a top tourist destination that welcomes people from all over the world.
